3. The Phoenix at Knoebels in Pennsylvania

The Phoenix features a 3,200-foot-long double out-and-back track, a 78-foot-tall first hill and a top speed of 45 mph. Originally built in 1947 as The Rocket at Playland in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100101101011232" title="San Antonio" href="/topic/us/texas/bexar-county/san-antonio-PLGEO100101101011232.topic">San Antonio</a>, Texas, the American Coaster Enthusiasts landmark was dismantled and rebuilt at Knoebels, opening in 1985 as The Phoenix.
