Hay-Adams Hotel, Washington, D.C.

Though this hotel isn't named for a president, one of its namesakes is a relative of one. The classic hotel is named after John Hay, private assistant to President Lincoln and later secretary of state under President McKinley, and Henry Adams, an author and descendant of John Adams, second U.S. president. It is on Lafayette Square across from the White House. Rooms start at $435 a night.
