The ruins of Kaminaljuyu in Guatemala City are among the oldest Mayan sites in Mesoamerica. Though largely engulfed by nearby developments, the remains of the ruins have been turned into a park. Visitors can tour excavation sites and view artifacts in local museums, such as the Popol Vuh Museum.<br>
