'The Matrix Revolutions' (2003) The anticipation surrounding the first sequel to "The Matrix" was so great, that when "The Matrix Reloaded" failed to deliver all that the first film promised, many left in a state of semi-denial or at least optimism. All would be fixed with the third film. After all, a great magician saves his greatest tricks for the end of the act. But "The Matrix Revolutions" just made the story more convoluted, the action darker, and in the end, numbing. Those who didn't have a headache trying to undertand the metaphysics of the storyline were given one by the pounding soundtrack.
