So, what exactly is a dude doing in a topless revue?
Getting a lot of laughs.
Sean E. Cooper is the resident funnyman and impressionist in “Fantasy” and one of Las Vegas’ best-kept secrets. Cooper’s impressions of Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr. and Little Richard are spot-on and hysterical.
The longtime Vegas entertainer is also a talented stand-up comic. We’d share one of his jokes but he works in a deep shade of blue. Nobody goes to Vegas for knock-knock jokes.
Cooper is great but “Fantasy” is mostly about the ladies. The gals offer up song, dance, skin and more skin. The star is Lorena Peril, a pint-sized but powerful vocalist whose singing style is often — and aptly — compared to that of Christina Aguilera.
The show has been playing the Strip for 11 years, but is frequently retooled with new tunes and choreography. Peril opens with a steamy version of Aguilera’s “Desnudate,” dons a dark suit and fedora for a full-throttled “It’s a Man’s World,” and performs a flirtatious belly dance and duet with Cooper to “Hips Don’t Lie.”
At this show, you’re never far from the action. The fun unfolds in a theater that seats only 350.
