"Spider-Man" Who felt slighted? Marvel Enterprises The charge: The comic book company launched a lawsuit over a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Though Marvel said in a statement that the suit was not an attempt to stop production of the " Spider-Man" sequel, it was only the latest thorny issue for rights to the wall-crawler. Spider-Man was in a sticky legal quagmire for years as different studios claimed rights to producing a film.
