UCLA's Gary Beban, shown in 1967 against the Trojans, would guide the Bruins to two of their three victories in the 1960s. In '65, Beban threw a last-minute touchdown pass to seal a 20-16 victory. Although UCLA won, 14-7, in '66, the Trojans were voted into the Rose Bowl game. Beban would win the 1967 Heisman Trophy and remains the school's only winner of the annual award recognizing the top college football player.
