Don't worry Seminoles' fans, Winston's campaign still has (crab) legs.
New odds courtesy of Bovada in Las Vegas list Winston as a 9-2 favorite to become only the second player to win two Heismans. Ohio State's Archie Griffin won Heismans in 1974 and '75.
Winston had been 2-1 favorite when Bovada last posted odds in January. Winston, as a redshirt freshman, won the Heisman last year on his way to leading Florida State to the national title.
UCLA quarteback Brett Hundley and Georgia running back Todd Gurley are 14-1. Hundley was 12-1 last January.
USC players aren't getting much love from Las Vegas, despite winning last year's Las Vegas Bowl, but the needle is moving in the right direction.
Quarterback Cody Kessler went from off-the-board in January to 50-1 odds, while tailback Javorius "Buck" Allen went from off-the-board to 66-1.
Kessler has the same 50-1 odds as quarterback Jacob Coker, who has not even officially won the job at Alabama after transferring from Florida State.
Myles Jack, UCLA's two-way superstar, is a 40-1 choice after being off the board in January.
Sleeper odds pick to watch: Louisiana State running back Leonard Fournette (66-1). He hasn't taken a snap for the Tigers but is already being compared to Adrian Peterson.
No respect odds: Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly (100-1). Kelly passed for 3,635 yards and 28 touchdowns last season and also rushed for 608 yards in leading the Sun Devils to the Pac-12 South title.
"It makes me stay humble," Kelly said at Pac-12 media day last month about the lack of respect. "There's a chip on my shoulder to outwork everyone else.... I see myself as the best in the conference. That's all that matters."
