Clear Lake

It's the Fourth of July, and Mitt Romney is celebrating in Clear Lake, the Iowa town best known for being the last place Buddy Holley, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper played before their small plane crashed in a nearby cornfield in 1959. Local residents are lining the sidewalks for the traditional holiday parade — a parade in which Romney won't be the only big-name participant. Hillary Clinton is in town as well.
