Mike Lindbery of Ojai gets a close look at a 45-foot California gray whale that washed ashore on a narrow, rocky beach 10 miles north of Ventura after dying at least three weeks ago, scientists said Monday. The body of the adult female was too decomposed for scientists to determine a cause of death, said Michelle Berman,„© a biologist with the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
