SAN FRANCISCO, California. John Lewis, left and Stuart Gaffney, right, of San Francisco, plantiffs in a court case on the legality of samesex marriage, listen at a press conference after after attorneys complete oral arguments before the California State Supreme Court. The couple's attorneys argued today, Tuesday, March 4, 2008, that California's ban on samesex marriage violates the state contitution by denying equal protection based on sexual orientation.
