Vivienne Westwood X Melissa "Lady Dragon" heel $149

Jelly shoes

Goodbye $1,000 stilettos, hello $175 jelly shoes. The trend started last spring when high-end lines Givenchy, Gucci, Fendi and Marc Jacobs all did rubber jellies as part of their collections — with the same logos and designer names — for a fraction of what their shoes usually cost.
For Spring ’09, Tod’s has a cute T-bar jelly sandal for $175, Sigerson Morrison has a cool, jelly gladiator wedge heel for $175 and Vivienne Westwood has collaborated with Brazilian jelly shoemaker Melissa on the Lady Dragon, all-rubber high heels that will sell for $149. Expect knockoffs for much less.
