Bookcases: Ladrillo

Ladrillos (Spanish for “bricks”) is a modular shelf system from Magis Me Too whose plastic supports are shaped like playful creatures. White laminate shelves, each 6.5 feet long, have a black edge and are routed in the middle, so the placement of supports can be customized. The design is part of a toy-inspired collection of kids furniture by Javier Mariscal, best known to some for creating Cobi, the sheepdog mascot of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Cost: $146 for each pair of supports, $824 per set of two shelves.
