Stained Glass rug

Evelyn Ackerman's "Stained Glass," a 1969 wall hanging, was hand-hooked in Japan but bears the influence of hippie-era flower power. "All their stuff is beautifully made but it's also clear that they were <i>au fait</i> with the world of high art and had a very sophisticated sensibility that's often missing from crafts."<br>
