SPEAKING OUT: Nearly 200 people protested at FDA headquarters in Maryland in September in one of several rallies against the agencys decision to delay approval of Dendreons Provenge, a prostate-cancer vaccine. The activists also called for greater access to experimental cancer medications. Their rallies followed controversy over the FDAs flip-flop on Provenge.
