Pfizer recalls birth control pills due to inaccuracies

Just before Valentine's Day, Pfizer Inc. said it was recalling a million packets of birth control pills that may have had inaccurate tablet counts that could also have been out of sequence. The company said in a statement that the mix-up in the Lo/Ovral-28, Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol brands "could leave women without adequate contraception, and at risk for unintended pregnancy."
