Pays Pouri, Haiti

A peacekeeper inspects the wreckage of a United Nations plane that crashed  in a remote mountain area of Haiti known as  Pays Pouri, near the border with the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO00000191" title="Dominican Republic" href="/topic/international/dominican-republic-PLGEO00000191.topic">Dominican Republic</a>, about 30 miles east of the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince.  U.N. helicopters reached the remote site of the crash. Eleven peacekeepers were killed when the surveillance flight slammed into a mountain Friday.
