In "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," Sandra Bullock plays the mother of a boy (Thomas Horn) searching for clues about his father who died in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The film, and Bullock's performance in it, may have been bypassed for SAG recognition due to its late release date, <a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/movies/2011/12/do-sag-and-golden-globe-voters-have-enough-time-to-see-extremely-loud.html" target="_blank">cutting it too close</a> to voting deadlines.
