Honcho or henchman? Honcho, and doubly so. Dr. Kananga is a corrupt dictator of the fictional island of San Monique. He's also secretly Mr. Big, a gangster and drug lord who will do anything (and kill anyone) to gain a monopoly on the heroin market.
Dastardly distinction: His penchant for the occult. Kananga uses local fear of voodoo to protect his poppy fields. He relies on tarot reader Solitaire, and one of his henchmen is Baron Samedi, a voodoo sorcerer who performs human sacrifice. Kananga also goes out with a bang; Bond forces compressed air down the villain's throat, leaving him to inflate and then explode.
