Zach Braff splits with girlfriend, model Taylor Bagley

Zach Braff and Taylor Bagley call it quits after five years

Zach Braff's relationship with Taylor Bagley is over, according to reports out Tuesday.

The split was first reported by Page Six, which contacted the "Scrubs" alum's rep regarding the concluded five-year relationship.

"Zach and Taylor broke up over a month ago," his rep said. "They are continuing their friendship but are no longer a couple."

Braff, 39, is starring as a struggling playwright in the Broadway adaptation of Woody Allen's "Bullets Over Broadway." The pair reportedly ended the romance just before the show's April 10 opening, while it was in previews. (The musical earned six nods at Tuesday morning's Tony Awards nominations.)

The cause for the split? Bagley, who is said to have urged Braff to do the show, wanted to get married, but Braff wasn't ready, a source told the column.

However, sources speaking to People negated that notion and said that the breakup's timing just happened to coincide with the show's opening.

"The idea of marriage didn't play a factor into their split at all," the source said, noting that the timing was a coincidence. "Zach has been a musical theater geek his whole life. This has been everything he's ever wanted."

The "Garden State" director's rep said that he "has been attached to the [show] and involved with its development for over two years. He chose to do it because it has been a lifelong dream of his to be a part of a Broadway musical."

Back in March, Bagley seemed keen on publicly celebrating their five-year anniversary by posting a photo of herself and her beau on Instagram.

"I get this face quite a lot..... Here's to 5 years my love," she wrote, captioning a silly photo of Braff making an unimpressed face.

The statuesque model and actor-turned-director were spotted getting cozy back in January during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, according to the Daily Mail. Braff was there to debut his Kickstarter-backed film "Wish I Was Here," which he co-wrote, starred in and directed.

The film, which also stars Braff's "Scrubs" costar Donald Faison, Kate Hudson, Josh Gad, Jim Parsons and Ashley Greene, Mandy Patinkin and the late James Avery, opens in theaters in Los Angeles and New York on July 18.
