James Franco is many things -- and now he's a blond.
The "This Is the End" star dyed his wavy brown locks a honey-colored hue reminiscent of boy bands and even Justin Bieber's former wispy coif.
"That Late 90s bleached look," the 36-year-old selfie aficionado wrote on Monday, sharing a snapshot of the new 'do. He's seen wearing a red T-shirt and staring straight into the camera.
But the vanity didn't stop there. He later added a photo of himself superimposed on group shots of famous '90s boy bands including 98 Degrees, the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync.
"I'm in ALL the BOYBANDS! Meeeeeyooowwwwww! @francosdaily," he said.
On Tuesday, the comparisons continued as the multi-hyphenate shared with his more than 2.4 million Instagram followers a contemplative picture of himself with an equally contemplative, if not puzzling, caption.
"He thinks: 'I wish I was Ryan Gosling, but I'm just me, oh well,'" Franco wrote, calling out the hunky "Notebook" star.
It's unclear why the actor changed up his look -- or if he's just wearing a wig. What we do know is that he's currently filming "The Adderall Diaries," with 2015's "The Fixer" and "Michael" in pre-production.
Franco plays gay activist Michael Glatze in "Michael," which chronicles the Young Gay America magazine's founder's transition from gay-rights activist to anti-gay pastor.
On Sunday, Franco snapped a photo of a test screen showing himself in character as Glatze. But this time the hair was blond and wavy rather than blond and straight.
"New Film: 'MICHAEL' Gay Activist Mode," he wrote.
The Justin Kelly drama also stars Zachary Quinto as Glatze's lover and Emma Roberts as his wife.
