Grammy surprises

There are always surprises in the Grammy nominations. Unlike the Emmys and Oscars, in which a much smaller number of productions vie for the big prizes, the Grammys offer a cornucopia of possibilities because so many songs and albums are released each year. For every sure thing ( <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB002580" title="Jay-Z" href="/topic/entertainment/music/jay-z-PECLB002580.topic">Jay-Z</a>'s "Empire State of Mind," for record of the year, for example), arrives a wild card (Cee Lo Green's profanely catchy "...You"). But among the 108 categories in the 53rd <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVHST000012" title="Grammy Awards" href="/topic/entertainment/music/grammy-awards-EVHST000012.topic">Grammy Awards</a> are more than a few eyebrow-raisers and races to watch.<br>
