TV ratings: 'MasterChef' wins as 'America's Got Talent' slips

Fox got a boost from "MasterChef" to win Wednesday night.

The cooking competition co-hosted by Gordon Ramsay, drew 5.37 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen. It was the night's highest-rated show and about flat with last week. 

Fox won the night in the demographic with a rating of 1.6. 

On the elimination round of "America's Got Talent" on NBC, four contestants moved on to the semifinals, but not 11-year-old singer Chloe Channell. The telecast drew 9.3 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.

Still, the show's demo rating fell to its season low, down 16% from last week. A ratings point equals roughly 1.3 million viewers. Australian import "Camp" fell 9% to tie its series low. 

On CBS, the ratings boost from controversial antics of some of the contestants on "Big Brother" may be wearing off. The privacy-deprivation series fell 9% from last week to a rating of 2 in the 18-49 demographic.

ABC's news magazine "The Lookout," the network's only original program of the night, was flat with last week's 0.9 rating.
