Daniel Porter, the former chief executive of the mobile game studio OMGPOP, has been named head of talent agency WME's digital department, the company said Tuesday.
Porter began working out of the Beverly Hills-based agency's New York office on Tuesday. He oversees all of the company's business in the digital space.
Porter is working in concert with WME's Chris Jacquemin, who is based in Los Angeles and oversees digital content initiatives for the agency.
During Porter's tenure at OMGPOP, the company released the popular mobile game Draw Something. The firm was acquired by social game company Zynga for more than $180 million in spring 2012.
Following the acquisition, Porter served as the general manager of Zynga's New York office. He departed the publicly traded company in April.
