Sorry, zombies. AMC's "The Walking Dead" continues to have fans swarming Twitter, but the apocalyptic show couldn't top Tuesday night's BET Hip Hop Awards.
The music awards show, which gave multiple honors to Kendrick Lamar and Drake, was the most tweeted-about telecast for the week that ended Sunday. The show had a unique Twitter audience of 6.88 million -- meaning that's the number of people who viewed the tweets -- and generated 2.55 million mentions.
"Walking Dead," about humans trying to survive in a zombie wasteland, came in second with an audience of 5.65 million users for 528,300 tweets. The show is also a ratings juggernaut for AMC. Sunday night's episode drew more than 13 million total viewers, while last week's fourth season debut drew a record audience of 16.1 million.
FX's anthology of fright, "American Horror Story: Coven," was the next runner-up in the Twitter rankings with a reach of 3.12 million users and 184.4 million tweets.
