Christine

Christine in 'Christine' Though a lot of action flicks with cars are de facto love stories, this film from the Stephen King novel is an actual love story, though not the kind with a very happy ending. Keith Gordon plays the hapless teenager Arnie, caught under the spell of one literally heartless lady, a red-and-white 1958 Plymouth Fury named Christine. For her part, Christine is quite an independent chick -- she drives herself places, takes care of her own vendettas and is quite possessive of her new boyfriend. She's even able to take care of her own fender dings and dents. Tough-minded, yet a little cold, Christine the car is the ultimate ride but is severely hurting in the good girlfriend department. Probably because she's still haunted by her former owner. Nothing that a little car therapy wouldn't cure. Columbia Pictures
