Liz Young, 49, a grandmother from Tennessee Her Southern accent and genteel manners disguise a wicked sense of humor. "We watched every season of 'Biggest Loser' with a platter of food on our laps, and then we'd have ice cream, and as they were voting people off each week I'd say to my husband, 'You know, we really need to do something...' " At one point, they did -- they exercised, but never changed their diet, and so they saw little results. She stands 5 feet 7 inches and weighs 267 pounds. She also resorted to a tummy tuck to get off the excess weight. But it was her husband's bypass surgery that delivered the wake-up call. How she knows this is it: "What I have learned so far is that I am in total control" of what I decide to eat. While she is not hoping to leave the ranch anytime soon, she says things are never going to be the same in the kitchen when she gets home.
