Elizabeth Taylor's first wedding dress -- the one she wore as an 18-year-old when she married Conrad Hilton Jr. in 1950 -- is slated to be sold at auction at Christie's in London on June 26. The gown, a gift to Taylor from MGM and designed by costume designer Helen Rose, is made of 25 yards of satin with a 15-foot train. It's corseted and embellished with bugle beads and seed pearls. It is expected to fetch about $75,000. [Telegraph]
Christie's also plans to auction off much of fashion critic Suzy Menkes' wardrobe this summer in an online sale July 11-22. The sale includes designer items going back to the 1960s, because, Menkes says, she has never disposed of anything since she headed off to college. [Harper's Bazaar]
Auctions don't always go as expected. Mark Hamill's "Jedi jeans" failed to sell in an online auction in which they'd been expected to fetch as much as $100,000, writes my colleague Adam Tschorn.
Kate Upton appears in the latest Victoria's Secret catalog. That's a little surprising since the Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl was famously snubbed by Sophia Neophitou, the casting director for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, who said in a New York Times interview in 2012 that she would never cast Upton in the show because “She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.” [The Cut]

Prabal Gurung has been tapped to design new uniforms for All Nippon Airlines flight crews and ground employees. ANA seems to be following in the footsteps of Virgin Atlantic, whose uniforms are getting an upgrade from Vivienne Westwood, as our Adam Tschorn reported here. [WWD]
