Young men and women with torches participate in the wedding procession a night before the "Galicnik wedding" ceremony in the western Macedonian village Galicnik, about 93 miles southwest of Skopje on. Every year, around the Christian Orthodox holiday Petrovden (St. Peters day), Macedonians originating from Galicnik gather in this almost deserted mountainous village and a couple gets married according to the traditions of the region.
