Makhalea, 16, stands in her corrugated iron shack in eastern Maseru, Lesotho, on Wednesday. Makhalea lives with 34 other orphans in a project supported by the work of the charity Sentebale, founded by Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and Prince Harry of Britain. HIV and AIDS have left more than 380,000 orphans in Lesotho, a plight highlighted by Prince Harry's recent trip to the region.
