Los Angeles city firefighters survey the scene where one of their colleagues was killed and another critically injured in an explosion not far from Los Angeles International Airport. The afternoon blast rocked a Westchester business district as rescuers were investigating reports of earlier explosions and smoke pouring from buildings.
