The 40-day "Chunyun," or spring festival travel rush, will officially end Thursday, with millions returning to work from their hometowns after the Lunar New Year holiday. The Ministry of Railways estimated that the railway system will handle a record 188 million passengers nationwide during the annual travel season, up 8% from last year.
