Houda Siam performs her Muslim morning prayers while waiting for her son Abdullah to go into surgery to repair a congenital heart defect at Wolfson Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel. The 6-year-old Palestinian boy is a relative of Hamas Interior Minister Said Siam, who was killed during the Israeli invasion of Gaza Strip. Abdullah is the first child from Gaza to cross the border to the Israeli hospital for life-saving heart surgery since the conflict ended Jan. 18.
