( October 30, 2012 ) Many people drink bottled water every day. Depending on where it comes from, it could contain fluoride. Water labeled as de-ionized, purified or distilled likely has no fluoride, or only trace amounts. Other products could have fluoride that is either added, or naturally present in the water source. The FDA regulates how much fluoride is in bottled water, anywhere from .8 to 2.4 ppm - depending on whether it's naturally occuring or added. While the FDA does not require producers to label the amount of fluoride in the water, it does require that fluoride additives be listed. |
