They might not be as athletic as they used to be, but their hearts are still in the game they love.
Former players, such as ex-Giants Outfielder Kevin Mitchell and Detroit Tiger Cecil Fielder are among those taking part in a vintage game at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton Wednesday evening.
"It's a great day, great to be with some of my old teammates," Fielder told FOX40.
The game slated for 6 p.m. will be played "vintage" style including old school gloves, uniforms, and rules.
But don't expect the same guys many watched for years on the field.
"We'll be pulling some hamstrings out there, hopefully there are some doctors on hand," said Mitchell.
The game and instructional clinic is part of the "Vintage 9 Foundation," which raised money for young baseball players in America.
