Jamba Juice and the Los Angeles Sparks' Ticha Penicheiro and DeLisha Milton-Jones join Banana Man and Sparky to promote their second year as partners and ask people to Team Up for A Healthy America.
This afternoon, from 3-5pm at the Jamba Juice in Santa Monica (4th & Santa Monica), to sign autographs, blend smoothies and give away tickets to upcoming Sparks games.
They will be having people continue to sign up to for Jamba's Team Up for a Healthy America Pledge. Hundreds of Sparks' fans have already taken the pledge. Jamba and the WNBA is showing the public that it's easy to stay healthy during the summer months
Ticha Penicheiro is in her 14th WNBA season - second with the Sparks - and is the league record holder with over 2,500 assists in her career while also ranking second all-time in steals. In July, she was named one of the Top-15 Players in WNBA history.
DeLisha Milton-Jones is in her 13th WNBA season - 10th in Los Angeles - and ranks ninth on the league's career scoring list with nearly 5,000 points. She helped the Sparks win back-to-back WNBA titles in 2001 and 2002, and has also won two Olympic Gold Medals (2000 and 2008) as a member of the U.S. Women's National Basketball Team.
