What if you could rent a $600 piece of fine jewelry for just $40 bucks a month? Would you?
There’s a new website on the scene that will let you do just that. They say they’re tracking trends and watching what celebs wear to make all accessible to you.
Nicole Hodges, 26, sure loves bling.
“I`m a big fan of big chunky bracelets and big chunky necklaces,” said Jenna Logan customer Nicole Hodges.
She says buying jewelry used to take a bite out of her budget. “Probably a good solid, honestly, $80 to $100 bucks a month,” said Hodges.
Hodges discovered DFW-based JennaLogan.com, now all the jewelry she wears comes from inside this vault in Grand Prairie.
“We have pretty much anything you would find in a fine jewelry store,” said Jenna Logan Jewelry Buyer Lindsay Lamb.
For $40 a month, members rent one piece at a time and keep it as long as they want.
“We have roughly over 15,000 different units currently available to our members in stock,” said Lamb.
They've got pearls, gold, diamonds and other real gems. Once you place your order online and they get it, they`ll send your piece of jewelry in a little blue pouch and put it in a shipping envelope to send to you.
They`ll pack it all up and also send it with another envelope, so you can send it back. The company says everything is cleaned and sanitized once it's returned. Hodges has been wearing the same cuff for two weeks now.
“A lot of what I was purchasing before was a little bit closer to costume jewelry because it was what I could afford, but with this I can actually have diamond and gemstones,” said Hodges.
Hodges says she'll eventually send it back to the vault.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
