A pane of glass was the only thing that stopped a three-year-old girl from becoming lunch for a lion at a zoo in New Zealand.
Sofia Walker was looking at 7-year-old Malik the lion just as he was about to have his dinner.
The lion focused his unblinking gaze on the little girl as she pressed her face against the thick glass at Wellington Zoo and asked her parents: "What's he telling me?"
Her mother answered: "I think he's telling you to move away, Sofia. He wants to eat his food."Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
