Storm Hand Lynx First Loss of the Season

- The Lynx suffered their first defeat of the 2012 season. Their 10 wins were the most ever to start a year in WNBA history.


- The Storm also snapped Minnesota's 13-game winning streak, which was tied with the Storm's 2010 streak for third longest in WNBA history. The Lynx's last regular-season loss was Sept. 2, 2011 vs. New York.


- Sue Bird led all scorers with 21 points. The Storm is 3-0 when Bird scores 20-plus points. Bird last scored 20-plus points in consecutive games on Aug. 27 and Aug. 29, 2009.


- Tanisha Wright handed out a season-high eight assists. Wright has 15 assists in the last two games.


- With 10 points, Tina Thompson reached double figures for the fourth time in as many games. Thompson grabbed two rebounds in the final 4.4 seconds and made two free throws with 1.0 second remaining.


- Ann Wauters' first rebound of the game was the 1,000th of her career.


- The Lynx's Rebekkah Brunson grabbed double-figure rebounds (11) for the second time in 2012. Brunson's six offensive boards tied a season high.


- Minnesota had won 10 straight road games, the third-longest streak ever.


- The Lynx's 62 points were 16 below their previous season low (78, 6/15 at PHO). Their 37.5% shooting and 25.0% on threes were also season lows.


- Minnesota's 10 first-quarter points were the fewest the team has scored in a quarter this season (previously 11) and tied the fewest allowed by the Storm.


- The Storm won despite tying a season low with eight fourth-quarter points.


- The Lynx's only lead was 4-2.
