Who needs breakfast when the waiter gives you two lollipops before your parents even order? Griffin Defino, of New Paltz, N.Y., stares out of the window at O'Rourke's Diner, checking out the passing street life on a rainy Main Street. His parents Annell and Bill had some business to attend to in town, and Annell, who went to Wesleyan University, graduating in 1988, brought her husband and son back to her favorite place in town. "It was the place to go," she said of the diner. "I couldn't visit Middletown without coming back here."
