Women's College Basketball: UConn vs. Tennessee

The UConn and Tennessee women's basketball team's first met in the 1995, when the Huskies beat the Lady Volunteers 70-64 to finish their season a perfect 35-0 win their first National Championship. Since then, UConn-Tennessee has become women's college basketball's biggest rivalry, thanks in large part to the clashing personalities of UConn coach Geno Auriemma and Tennessee coach Pat Summitt. The Huskies lead the all-time series 13-9, though the two teams discontinued their regular season meetings in 2007, meaning that the only chances they can meet in the forseeable future will be in the NCAA Tournament. (Pictured: Auriemma is greeted by Summitt, as she jokingly asks what he thinks of her orange outfit, before the start of their matchup, which UConn won 86-72 at Thompson-Boling Arena, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002.)
