Hockanum River Canoe Race

Joey Perras of Manchester (at left) and John Kudla of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100202240000" title="South Windsor" href="/topic/us/connecticut/hartford-county/south-windsor-PLGEO100100202240000.topic">South Windsor</a> wind their way down the Hockanum River in Manchester during the 25th annual Hockanum River Canoe Race. Sixty-two boats and 101 paddlers navigated the 7.2 mile race course which begins in Vernon and finishes in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100202080000" title="East Hartford" href="/topic/us/connecticut/hartford-county/east-hartford-PLGEO100100202080000.topic">East Hartford</a>. Proceeds from the race benefit the Hockanum River Linear Park Association. Perras and Kudla participated in the recreational division.
