William Bernard

After William Bernard was convicted of arson and served his time he was assigned to former Probation Officer Richard Straub who sexually abused him. Straub was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 1999 after pleading no contest to 31 criminal charges involving 15 victims including sexual assault, unlawful restraint and kidnapping. Even today Bernard feels the emotional pain inflicted by Straub as he tries to put his life back together working as an orderly at Windham Hospital where he transports patients to and from radiology.
