Sea Swirl Goodbye

Ralph and Sharon Hightower of Ledyard make one last stop for their favorite soft serve ice cream at the Sea Swirl restaurant in Mystic before it closes for the winter. The sign in the window acknowledges the sentiments of owners Dave and Kathy Blaney, who have owned the roadside restaurant for more than 20 years and traditionally close the stand for the winter every Columbus Day.
