Crowd At Plainville Service, July 30

Friends, family, acquaintances and several hundred others joined together in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100202200000" title="Plainville" href="/topic/us/connecticut/hartford-county/plainville-PLGEO100100202200000.topic">Plainville</a> on July 30 to memorialize Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters Hayley and Michaela,  who were killed July 23 by two men who broke into their Cheshire home.  The memorial service was held in a tent in the middle of the closed intersection of Whiting and Maple streets. Dr. William Petit, the husband and father of the slain, grew up in Plainville.
