After watching the inauguration on TV at Russell Library in Middletown, Julius Thomas, center, said that he hoped that there not a false sense of hope that just because Obama was president conditions will improve. He urged that individuals and particularly families needed to take on the responsibility of improving the community. Thomas, of Middletown, took part in a community conversation that was held after participants had watched the inauguration proceedings.
