Fred Funk tries to coax his bal closer to the pin after hitting out of the greenside bunker on the 18th hole Friday afternoon. Funk jumped out to the early lead with two birdies and an eagle to start his day at -8 but bogied 14 and 18 to fall three strokes behind early leader Hunter Mahan.
