Venice, Italy

Dave and Janice Danforth of Ellington submitted this photo, taken in Venice, Italy. They write, "This is known as the 'Bridge of Sighs' in Venice. The natives here will tell you that the bridge got it's name as follows: on the left side of the picture is the courthouse and on the right is the jail. After a prisoner was convicted and sentenced to jail, he would walk across the bridge, look out and sigh knowing he would not see Venice for a very long time."
