Harbor Park In Middletown

The Canoe Club restaurant, at Harbor Park in Middletown, is flooded with several feet of the rising Connecticut River. The Connecticut River, rising with water draining from Tropical Storm Irene, is not expected to crest, at about 16 feet, until 10:00 p.m. or midnight Tuesday night, according to Middletown Deputy Fire Chief Robert Kronenberger. At about 10:00 a.m. Tuesday the river was at about 13.5 feet. Flood stage is 8 feet.
