Harbor Park In Middletown

The Canoe Club restaurant, at Harbor Park in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100204120000" title="Middletown" href="/topic/us/connecticut/middlesex-county-%28connecticut%29/middletown-PLGEO100100204120000.topic">Middletown</a>, is flooded with several feet of the rising <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP003791" title="Connecticut River" href="/topic/economy-business-finance/connecticut-river-ORCRP003791.topic">Connecticut River</a>. The Connecticut River, rising with water draining from Tropical Storm Irene, is not expected to crest, at about 16 feet, until 10:00 p.m. or midnight Tuesday night, according to Middletown Deputy Fire Chief Robert Kronenberger. At about 10:00 a.m. Tuesday the river was at about 13.5 feet. Flood stage is 8 feet.
